How to Help with Napa-Sonoma Fire Tragedy

Dear CFLCA Members and Guests,

Many thanks to my friend Eric Stumpf, the excellent Wine Consultant of Citrus Heights for compiling and sending the following - please feel free to share:

Napa FireWe've received many inquires, from near and far, asking what is the best way to help those in distress from the horrific and cataclysmic wild fires sweeping across Northern California.  You can begin by supporting these organizations:

If you are a Northern California residents, there are a numerous ways to provide hands-on help, which even include aiding fire evacuees and providing shelter and clothes. The Sacramento Bee newspaper has put together an excellent list of resources.
There are thousands of people from a diversity in backgrounds in dire need of real help. We urge everyone to assist in whatever way they can.  Next time it could be you!

Finally, while the air is smoke filled, please protect yourself by restricting outdoor activities and staying indoors!  Or wear one of these protective masks!

Again, many thanks to Eric - If you've been wondering how to help, here's your opportunity.  There are people out there without housing, and without food.  I found it very easy to make my donation on the Redwood Empire Food Bank site.

Warm regards,

Lupe
