ALRB Education Access Rule
On December 3, 2015 the Ag Labor Relations Board met, and a part of their agenda included discussion and a public meeting on their new worker education access proposal.
Click here to read the meno. The memo was distributed after the meeting to the ALRB Labor-Management Ad Hoc Committee. Per the memo, following public comment and totally ignoring concerns raised by representatives of ag employer groups, "...the Board voted 3-0 to approve the proposal and directed staff to move forward with the formal rulemaking process for the education access regulation."
This meeting outcome was not totally unexpected, given the tenor of the board members at the September hearings on this proposal.
CFLCA joins other ag industry associations in our opposition to this ill-conceived and unnecessary proposed rule. We will keep our members and others in the ag employer community informed of proceedings on this rulemaking.
