  (DLSE Approved)

Your choice of English or Spanish Instruction

CFLCA provides required, convenient to attend and regularly updated compliance and best practices information through our online FLC 9-Hour programs. On-line and in-person CFLCA programs are approved by the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) to fulfill the requirement of nine hours of continuing education for FLC licensing and annual renewal. Plus, enjoy the comfort of your own space and no travel while you learn from the best instructors around.

Our agricultural employer compliance seminars are valuable to all agricultural employers and their key staff. Classes offer a wide range of information, including updates on new labor laws; wage and hour requirements; Cal OSHA requirements; worker transportation issues; effective supervisor and management training and best practices; plus the two-hour requirement and certificate on sexual harassment prevention.

Training includes:

  • Interactive instruction by recognized industry experts
  • Certificate of attendance or on-line credits submitted for licensing & renewal
  • Access to over 300 pertinent document resources
  • Discounted rate for supervisor/HR/safety personnel

About our on-line training:

  • Participants must have access to a computer, tablet or similar device with working camera and speakers and reliable internet connectivity.
  • CFLCA utilizes the Zoom webinar platform for our trainings. It allows us to detect attendee participation throughout the program.
  • Participants must pre-register for the training in order to participate. Maximum class attendance is 25.
  • No registrations accepted the day of the event.
  • Registrants will receive a webinar link 2 days prior to the training.
  • A trial entrance to the Zoom platform and classroom will be held at 4:00 pm the evening before each training begins to ensure access to the platform and to check audio and cameras are working.
  • This program requires you to remain in an environment and safely pay attention throughout. Use good judgement – our classes may randomly be monitored by the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Participate as if you were in a regular class. Do not drive, take care of child-care issues, excessively text or email, conduct meetings or any number of other possible side activities. Excessive absence will result in your loss of credit for the class.
To participate and receive credit for attendance, registrants must:
  • Sign-in to the session at 7:30 each day. At that time you will be asked to verify your identity with facial recognition and identification.
  • Attend the entire program to receive credit. The program will be held from 7:45 a.m. - noon on 1st day and 7:45 am - 12:50 on 2nd day.
  • Respond to requests for facial recognition and identification.
  • Answer random poll questions to verify attendance and participation

Due to limited capacity, we are unable to grant refunds. Registration fees may be credited to a future course when requested a minimum of 72 hours in advance and will be subject to a transfer fee of $50.00. Transfer fees will be waived for CFLCA members. No shows or failure to submit requests 72 hours in advance will forfeit all registration fees.

"The class was good. I think it was better than the class in person. It was so good that I became a member of CFLCA during the class. I felt like I was able to learn more than in previous years when I did it in person. I hope to do the class again next year online and recommend other contractors to this online class."  -- Juan, JM Perez Farm Labor

"Thanks for a great 9 hour web experience! Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was very informative and I left with a list of items to follow-up with." -- Luz, Del Sol Harvesting

"I really enjoyed this class and I hope you continue with the web classes. Thanks for the pleasant experience and to the educators who are highly knowledgeable and provide plenty of info. If you offer these type of classes in the future, I will be attending. See you in two years, hopefully!!" -- Richard Valenzuela, FLC
