Gabriel Gomez-Sandoval Memorial Farmworker Scholarship
CFLCA is proud to support the growth and development of the next generation by providing college and trade school scholarships for students who are farmworker employees (or their children) of California farm labor contractors.
Since 2016, we have distributed over $300,000 in funding!
To accommodate the rising costs of tuition and fees, we are excited to announce that this year, CFLCA will award scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000! Thanks to the work of our scholarship committee and generous sponsors and donors, potential award amounts have been increased significantly from prior years. The application process is fairly easy with awards weighed higher for the children of CFLCA FLC member employees.

Gabriel Gomez-Sandoval is the beloved son of CFLCA founder and first Executive Director, Guadalupe (Lupe) Sandoval. As a sophomore in High School, Gabriel was diagnosed with Leukemia. He battled this disease fearlessly and quietly, however he passed in 2005 as an optimistic and determined college student. Gabriel's dream was to become a teacher. His love for education and passion for giving back were the inspiration for this scholarship fund. Congratulations to the 2023 Scholarship Recipients!
